Dishonesty & Lies-What I found behind?

A recent distasteful incident where I was swindled by a person (His nationality needs not to be disclosed since deception is rampant everywhere regardless of nation, creed, tribe, social status etc.) made me recall the worthy quote of the great German Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. “I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you.”

I had a document to get attested from the ministry of foreign affairs in UAE. As my hectic office schedule belated this requirement over a week, I opted for seeking help from a person he used to visit government offices as part of his routine work. I got my document attested soon with his assistance. But I subsequently realized that the cost of attestation I paid for has been quite higher than the standard tariff. I did not even ask him a word about the excessive charges. He frequently visits my office still, I crack jokes with him every so often over a cup of tea as if I have not discerned his sneakiness. 

I trust people too easily. But now I learn as to how not to trust people so easily! Look around, we find people as shallow, greedy, cheating, and dishonest; and what they want instead is nothing but MONEY. They barter their souls for a few coins. The idea of enjoying material pleasures has conquered our culture. The world we live in is a network of relations; relations that are essential for our continuance as humans, as family, as society and as nations. Ethics can only exist in individuals not in society as we think. When individuals lack values, no social norm can fix it, and legal measures can correct it either.

Stand up for what we believe in.

If we bend over to others and their views, and do things in their way, whether right or not, we start to lose our own identity and start to forget for what we truly stand. Further, the less you allow yourself to think freely and develop your own belief system, the more you become a follower without your own direction. On the other hand, the more authentic you are to your needs and viewpoints, the more you will understand your sense of self.

We wouldn't be human if we didn't make mistakes or give into what was easier once in awhile, but learning from those mistakes and standing for what we believe in the vast majority of time is what is most important.

Two ways to be fooled?

Here is a quote that recently popped up on my Facebook timeline. Let us now chew over the significance of this quote.

It is the universal mindset of the human-beings to rely on something without having a clear-cut idea about its truthfulness. They often also turn down themselves from recognizing the truth ...on account of various reasons such as taboo, socially accepted customs, egotism, obstinate behavior etc.. Despite the human-beings are bestowed with the ability to distinguish frequencies, they put themselves in dilemma every so often. 

Great minds can sometimes guess the truth before they have either the evidence or arguments for it. This is an alternative path. It may be that it's okay not to be certain, but to have a gut feeling, and to perceive on that basis. These are all based on a general perspective of the ordinary people. What does it explicate itself? We, human beings can’t always make out the truth within our limited intellectual capacity. So to distinguish the truth we need to rest on a power or beyond our capability. Our constant look out for that power eventually leads us towards the God-the supernatural power. 

Still the issue does not run your term. Because God through his holy revelations never wants anybody to believe them equivocally. Instead the holy book itself proclaims its authenticity. We human beings in turn have to ponder about the very gist of its verses and identify the truth. Means digging deep and finding out the truth. If our lives are centered in God’s truth, He is able to renew our minds, calmly guide our emotions and activate our will to tell the truth. His presence brings truth and can bring a magnificent purifying influence on all our life. That why Quraan Says, “Aayaathun li Ulil Albaab” – those who possess the kind of mature mind and comprehension that enable them to make accurate judgments. The climax to it is that they will find the reality of truth that will save their life in this world and Hereafter.

The very gist of equanimity

It is the ongoing trend of people to propagate quotable quotes of great influential personalities over face book. Of course it would help in providing the viewers with certain perception to some extent. But I am of the view and I one for believe that the gist of few quotes are not that much sagacious to be embraced by the exploring viewers. Today I got stuck with a quote of “Albert Einstein” –the great scientist.

But I could not fully agree with the very sense of... that citation. First, let's look at the meaning of 'equanimity'. Evenness of mind or temper; composure, calmness. As I see it, he is saying that we are greatly influenced by our social conditioning along with the prejudices of the environment in which we live. We are reluctant to see beyond those prejudices and adopt a 'Go along, to Get along style of operating. We do not want to break/change the 'status quo'.

He also states forcibly that, "Most people are even incapable of forming such opinions." My feeling is that it may have been true in his time and experience. I don't believe such a 'blanket statement' is true in our time. Why? Because people are more educated and are able to see beyond all the hypocrisy that passes for fact, especially in the political sphere. See any newspaper media - 'Letters to the Editor' and you will see that we are a very opinionated mob.

Proud to be an Indian!

This image is running round in circle on face book nowadays along with a string of comments from various people. What kind of implication does it primarily seek to promulgate?
A person does have liberty to declare his belief that he is proud to be pursuing his religion. For that reason he can be proud of being known as a Hindu or a Muslim or a Christian. I am proud to be a Muslim. I am also proud of having a couple of good friends who belong to Hindu and C...hristian communities. It is all based on humanity, fraternity, mutual respect and social life.

Ironically, the slogan that appears in this post itself turns out to be insignificant as it seems to have been propped up by a group labeled “We Love Sasikala Teacher”. It is absolutely a sheer nonsense as she represents the militant cultural nationalism of Hindutva spearheaded by high caste Brahmins. This ideology is raising its ugly head all over the country. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the Banjrang Dal and the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) are all hand in glove to find blow to the secular credentials of the Indian nation. They want India to be known as a nation belonging to the Hindus. The tolerant Hindu religious philosophy has become a tortuous and intolerant institution in the hands of the pseudo-Hindu fanatics who paint a black picture of religious tolerance.

Religion is a way of life and practice in order to obtain success in this world and the hereafter. A religion should be based on justice, love, humanity and human rights. No man can reach God by harming, enslaving, fooling and cheating another fellow human in the name of religion. Inequality is the official doctrine of Brahminism. It is evident from the Vedas and Upanishads. Example: “Devadhinam Jagat Sarvam, Manthradhinam Ta Devata, Tam Mantram Brahmandhinam, Brahmana Nam Devata”- Meaning: “ The universe is under the power of God, The Gods are under the power of Mantras, The Mantras are under the power of Brahmins, Therefore Brahmins are our Gods.” 

The orthodox Brahmins still believe if the shadow of Harijan falls on the, they are polluted and will have to purify themselves by sprinkling water from the holy river, the Ganges, over themselves. Harijnas/Daliths are said to be the fraction of Hindu community. It is pathetic to realize the social status of Harijans and Daliths amongst the upper-class fanatic-fascist society where the venomous leaders like Sasikala teacher belongs. Recent attack launched against Daliths in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu is the cloudless case in point. All we are proud to be Hindu, Muslim or Christian whereas How a Harijan or Dalith could be proud to be a Hindu?!! Let us tear the mask away from those evil faces of untouchability which stare at us from every nook and corner of our lives. So dedicate ourselves to establish equality, fraternity, justice and religious harmony and say loudly in unison- "PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN"!!

Do you know why it's a wonder?

Have a look at the picture see herein. Question is “Why the great wall of China remains a wonder?” The sarcastic answer given is “It is the first Chinese made thing that lasted so long”. Let me now express my concern. There of course exists a truth over this sarcastic answer and we should not go without identifying the same. 

Biologically, all living creatures are much more concerned about their existence, self-defense and security. Accordingly they opt for the most powerful and feasible defensive measures. It is believed that the Ming Dynasty is the peak of wall building in Chinese history as they suffered a lot of disturbances from minority tribes. Hence the great wall was powerfully built for which the densest materials available in that era were used in order to defend themselves. 

We can also perceive the same cause in the weapon industry of modern China. Weapons they maintain for their self-defense are extremely devastating, durable and of high quality than they export to other countries. But the reliability and quality they apply in this sector can never be seen on other electronic products they sell abroad. 

Their ultimate intention is to make money and they are not concerned about trustworthiness in this commercial deal especially whilst they have already started implementing the wrong ideas of globalization in every nook and corner of the state. Around 65% of the total profit derived from this deal is unconditionally investing in the defense sector. Now just think about the great wall of China..Why does it still remain famous? Yes.. It is the first of its kind Chinese product that lasted so long..

Marwa – Martyr of the head scarf and victim of fanaticism

Marwa El Sherbini, an Egyptian origin, was stabbed 18 times on 01,July, 2008 by a ferocious, bigoted and racist German man inside a Dresden court. The consequential silence by Western media over the murder of a veiled Muslim woman has highlighted the horrific state the media finds itself in these days.

Western media for its bias, almost one week after her killing, remain muted over the murder, with reports continuing to quote German sources as saying this is not “part of an organized killing.” But it is. It is part of Europe’s failure to deal with its Muslim inhabitants in a tolerant manner.

I was really taken aback at this news and now obviously doubt how a woman could be stabbed 18 times in a public courtroom without police intervention. How could her husband be shot? Was he targeted because he was Arab/Muslim? These questions have been left out of the discourse by Western media outlets, who attempt to play down the murder.

When a Western woman is mistreated in the Arab world, accounts are detailed without pause, but when an Arab woman is killed in Europe, the murder is argued away as a “one-time” incident that is not part of European society. How do they figure?

How did the criminal killed her with over 18 stabs in her body , and wound her husband , in stage full of policemen and security ?! How the police shot her husband ?! Is he was trying to protect the German criminal citizen from the terrorist ?! This is not an isolated crime , it happened before and it’ll happened all over again , so how long the German authorities will keep telling lies about this as an isolated crime ?!

This criminal maniac who perform this ( Anti-Terror ) attack on a pregnant woman, begin attacking and assaulting the killed pregnant woman for all over a year, so anyone didn’t see this coming ?!

German authorities keep saying this is an isolated crime , and asking for silence , which does not seem to be working this time.

What happened is happening since years , with ignorant who believes War Against Terrorism is a War against Islam !! But the real loop is more about the official reactions who keep telling people to accept what is happening as isolated crimes. When an Isolated crime is keep repeating, on the same pattern, same background, same causes, and same claims, you don’t dare to call them ISOLATED.

The West has been quick to jump on sectarianism in the Middle East, xenophobic statement by Muslim leaders and the horrific side of Islamic radicalism, but now, when a racist, Nazi-like, crime occurs inside the continent of “freedom” there is silence. This silence cannot persist, for if it does, the killing of Marwa will have reverberations across the region that will have a long impact on how Arabs and Muslims perceive the West.

Martial Might of LTTE Crushed, Not Esteem.

At long last, LTTE was trounced by the Srilankan military might and the death of its supreme leader Veluppilla Prabhakaran was also confirmed. The curtain of a massive civil war instigated and fought by both LTTE and Srilankan Govt. for the past 3 decades has now temporarily been put down the lid. The ruling government led by the President Mahinda Rajpakse and the majority of his Simhala populace celebrating as they succeeded in re-establishing the integration of the country despite it has paid a whole heap and swallowed string of adversities in that respect.

On the other hand, India sighs as it sees the removal of a peril from its south region which was actually contributing security threats for a long time. The star-crossed death of Prabhakaran and his tiger force may not be disheartening the whole world as it previously met with the brutal murders of Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, former Srilankan president Premadasa, dozen of Srilankan ministers, military officers and scores of civilians in the heinous terrorist attacks launched by Tamil tigers.

Resorting to the way by getting guns in hands and committing all atrocious acts killing innocent people can in no case be justified particularly when such operations are aimed at dividing the motherland where we have born. The practice of promoting children between 6-10 years of age into the battle field with guns and suicide bombs in the name of “Liberation” has once again revealed that such horrendous acts shall not bring about anything but only heavy devastations to the mankind.

All feasibilities to resolve the troubles in a diplomatic and peaceful manner were cheekily turned down and went on with a sole agenda for establishing a separate Tamil State has been the historical absurdity of the commander of Tamil Tigers, V. Prabhakaran. With his obstinate agenda, he was actually driving his own community into the lane of never-ending adversities.

When the provision of granting autonomous rule for the province of Tamilians was well accepted by a couple of other Tamil groups, Prabhakaran violently ruled out the provision and didn’t even hesitate to assassinate other Tamil leaders hailed from his own community. Thousands of Tamil Muslims in Sri Lanka who settled on maintaining harmonious relationship with the Govt. were ruthlessly murdered by Prabhakaran and his militant comrades. Eventually, the complete desolation and destruction of Tamil tigers turned up in the form of their destiny.

The end of extensive racial and civil war that crushed the harmony of Sri Lanka is not going to bring about a complete resolution. The rehabilitation of thousands of Tamilians who lost everything and fled the country with their lives is a real challenge for the government. If Raja Pakse and his Govt. do not care about the refugees in the Northern Province and take the necessary arrangements to re-send them to their own places and restore their life, the retaliatory attacks will be emerged again after a short interval. The Sri Lankan government is not that much stout to overpower in case a guerilla model attacks are launched by Tamilians.

The ethnic cleansing of Palestinians being carried on for half a century by Israel under the full support of America and European countries and with the wholehearted support of UN so far not succeeded in blocking out the counterattack promoted by Palestinians should be a lesson for the government formed by Simhala majority in Sri Lanka. War is not the last word and it can not settle the tribulations raised by the separatist groups. If it could be, a peaceful life could have been restored in Kashmir annihilating all the separatist groups in Kashmir. Weapons should never win the minds of people. It must be achieved only through reconciliation rooted in humanity, love and altruism.


More often than not, the governing class dominated by racial majority does not absorb this truth whenever they come up to the issues of minority class in their country. The mindset of majority founded only on the platform of bulky numbers of people makes a supreme effort to suppress and wipe out the minority class in a fascist way by their impertinence. The despotic governments and its machinery mostly pave the way for such atrocities. History tells us the truth that the Simhala-Budhist mainstream nationalism surfaced in Sri Lanka in early 50’s and then aggravated in 70’s by slapping the wrists of Tamil minority in all aspects. This has been the root cause of counter nationalism primarily raised by Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka. The massive killings of Tamilians by Simhala military troops ignited the vengeance against the Government.

“Either live a reputable life, or embrace a valiant death” has been the frame of mind advocated by each and every LTTE militants. The so far survival of Prabhakaran notwithstanding a bundle of hardships he encountered throughout his retaliatory mission is thanks to this frame of mind of his people. Raja Pakse and his military could succeed in surmounting the martial might of Tigers, but not their esteem. The restoration of peace and harmony in Sri Lanks will be a remote possibility if Raja Pakse fails to identify this fact.

"Power of Words And Embodiment of Justice"

Politics is basically about brilliant ideas. Without durably crafted political structures, no amount of development can create social values that help to define and as well seek to mould a majority in a mass of people in a defined entity.

Staring me in the face was the tragic image of an African child condemned to the abject suffering of death by starvation. A massive tear confirmed the depth of his misery, yet his angelic eyes still beamed with the radiance of his life force. Not even the brutal assault of famine could extinguish the persistent flame of the human spirit.

Let us recall here the powerful words “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere!!” which were penned in a prison cell in 1963 by one of America’s best-known advocates of equal rights – Dr. Martin Luther King.

Why was this man, who is so widely admired today, imprisoned in the Birmingham city jail? Dr. King was a national leader in the struggle to end the racial segregation laws of the American South. These laws restricted black Americans from housing, voting, hotels, stores, educational opportunities and participation in community life. Such laws were so deeply entrenched that when Dr. King led a peaceful march in protest, local authorities resisted with force, arresting the leaders and dispersing the participants with fire hoses and police dogs. This reaction caused a change in public opinion, leading to the enactment of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964, the most sweeping legislation ever enacted to protect minority rights in the United States. This legislation helped change social and legal attitudes to bring the “American dream” of justice, equality, and freedom to all Americans, regardless of their race, religion, or ethnic background.

Dr. King was frequently criticized for meddling in the affairs of others. In 1967 alone, he traveled more than 780,000 miles to assist in political protests far from his home. His response, written in his famous letter was that, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” This principle is now widely recognized by countries and human rights organizations around the world. The Czech Republic too lives by this standard, giving valuable support to those trying to bring democracy to countries such as Cuba and Belarus.

We are living proof that people can change their course of history. And therefore, we honor those with the courage to fight for justice, equality, and freedom for all.
